MUNDELEIN, IL (October 1, 2020) – After enjoying considerable success at last weekend’s Formula Regional Americas Championship Powered by Honda tripleheader at Sebring International Raceway, Newman Wachs Racing returns to competition at the 14-turn, 2.21-mile road course of Homestead Miami Speedway this weekend (Oct. 2-4). Led by Team Manager Brian Halahan, the crew spent one day at Sebring turning around NWR’s Ligier race cars for their drivers – American Jordan Missing and Brazilian Victor Franzoni – before traveling down to south Florida. Franzoni is coming off a three-podium performance at Sebring and is now third in the championship standings, just 30 points out of second, and is aiming to maintain his considerable momentum. Missig was sidelined in Sebring due to the mistakes of others, missing the third race, and is primed and ready to get back in the seat.

“I’m looking forward to another good weekend at Homestead,” Halahan commented. “Victor was able to grab the team three more podiums, showing that we’re ready to get our first win. Jordan will have to reset from last weekend and I have the confidence that he will make the best of this weekend.”

The drivers will participate in a pair of practice sessions on Friday before heading into qualifying late on Saturday morning. The first race of the tripleheader event will be run on Saturday afternoon (2:50 pm) while the second and third races will hit the track on Sunday (11:00 am / 4:00 pm). Live timing and scoring will be available on the series website (www.framericas.com) and both live video coverage and live timing of the races can be enjoyed on www.fanracing.live.
